Rule 124
Auction sale and collection of goods

(1) Rule 123 Sub-rule
According to (4), if the supplier does not immediately return the rejected goods, the local body shall give written information to the supplier to pick up such goods and take them back within the time period specified in the purchase agreement and to supply the goods as per the specification instead.
(2) If the information as per sub-rule (1) is sent by post or courier service, a letter with a return receipt should be sent.
(3) If the supplier refuses to take delivery of the goods within the period of notice as per sub-rule (1) or if the goods are not picked up within the period specified in the purchase agreement, the relevant local body shall bear the expenses of auctioning such goods and storing the goods and other related expenses, the remaining advance amount, ex The fixed compensation and any other amount to be paid by him to the local body shall be deducted from the auction sale price and the remaining amount shall be returned to the supplier. (4) The amount that is not recovered from the amount received from the auction sale as per sub-rule (3) shall be recovered from the supplier in accordance with the prevailing law as government balance.
